Our Story

The Ways of Christ Church is a small church non- denominational on the south part of town,it started over 40 yrs. ago by Pastor Tony Salvo who felt God was leading him there, since then he has served the people whole heartedly all times of the day and night sharing the word of God, giving them encouragement, transporting some of them to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores when they don’t have means to get there,he also delivers food from the food bank to the ones in need. And much more. He sees the need to share the gospel to the people in his community; he is a man of good integrity, morals, and insight and will not hesitate to help anyone in need. He has never taken a vacation or a day off he puts the needs of his flock before himself. Below is a bio of him and how the church began.   
 
Pastor Tony Salvo was raised in Tewksbury,Massachusetts to a 14yrs old girl and never knew his father raised as an orphan and was abused as a child he left home in his teens spending 10 years in training from Minnesota to California where he got involved in different cults and churches at that time GOD opened his eyes to the false teachings. From there he traveled across country to the streets of Memphis Tennessee preaching on the Streets.
 
He arrived in S.A. over 40 yrs. ago with no money, stayed with some friends and going to another church at which time he started fasting seeking the Lords will. When he saw a little building to stay in and another building next to it for a possible church. He happened to meet the owners who were going to tear it down but said he could rent it for $100.00 month this has changed now he also pays the property tax. Then he found out it had no electricity and need much work but he felt GOD was telling him to get this place so he did and it took 2 yrs. to fix it up.
 
During this time through donations from Churches and individuals he has been able to buy the land next to the church and across the street from it, along with a home where he now lives. This home was a mess but with help from some volunteers from a local Church, they remodeled it.
 
Pastor Salvo has been a dedicated servant of the Lord for over 30 yrs. now and has never received a salary has the Pastor of The Ways of Christ Church.

Pastor Tony passed away on January 31,2022 at the age of 81, due to his declining from Parkinson’s disease.
